Significant contribution to Oslo being selected European Green Capital 2019 by the European Commission.

The City Council in Oslo has paid NOK 2.74 billion for the expansion of Bekkelaget wastewater treatment plant. This makes UBRA the largest environmental project in Oslo.

The plant will be put into operation this year, but the actual opening of the plant will not be until 2021.

Hybrid Energy AS is contributing to making the biogas upgrading process more environmentally friendly, by retrieving waste heat from sludge at 55°C.

The first Hybrid Heat pump was installed at Bekkelaget Wastewater Treatment plant and biogas production facility in 2010.

Since then we had upgrading both in 2015 and 2019. In 2019 the capacity was raised from 1200 kW to a total of 2000 kW in two 2 stage hybrid heat pump.

The capacity of Bekkelaget Wastewater Treatment plant will be double and put into full operation in 2021.
